It’s been a few years since I first heard about Sail-In Cinema. The first time I went was in 2011. Freshly back from my European travels, I was convinced Toronto had some awesome summer events and spent the whole summer researching. That’s when I found Sail-in Cinema!
This first-ever two-sided floating movie experience seems too good to be a Toronto staple but ’tis true! Toronto’s very own thing and it’s here again for three nights this August. Who says Toronto isn’t cool or hip?
So what’s the deal?
Whether you’re sailing or on-shore bring a basket filled with goodies, something to sit on, a sweater – in case it gets cold – and a love for old classics.
This year’s movies include:
- Edward Scissorhands – August 17th
- Indiana Jones-Raiders of the Lost Ark – August 18th
- Beauty and the Beast – August 19th
Sugar Beach @ 25 Dockside Drive, Corus Quay
Pre-show entertainment starts at 6 pm
Movie starts at 8 pm
Get there early for the best seats, bring a blanket! There will be food for purchase at the event.
Live from Toronto, this has been a Berlin Vibe!
